Pressed Juices Pressed Juices and Saint Laurent Betty

It’s been a hip thing for pressed juice cleanse for a while but I was still not into it.  But then when the brand Pressed Juices opened an outlet near to my office, I started to think about it.  And when it hit my vibe and said that it detoxes my body and helps keep my skin refreshing.  Ok, I’m in. 😛

I started with a 1-day program first as I’m not sure whether I can stand with only 8 bottles of juices and nothing to eat for the whole day.  In the morning, it was fine as there was a bottle of smoothie.  However, when it came to the afternoon, it was the worst time as I didn’t have any solid lunch and most importantly, no coffee.  I struggled a little frankly and felt a bit cold, sleepy and soft.  But don’t know why, that kind of bad feelings went away after 6 or 7 pm.  When I finished the 7th and the 8th bottle, frankly no feeling of hunger.  You only feel that you need to sleep early that night (still no coffee at all).  I had a good sleep that night and I woke up early the next morning feeling fresh, lightened and energised.  I really felt good, so I dash back to the shop and continuing for another 1-day program consecutively made it up as a 2-day cleanse.

I like the energised feeling and I can actually feel less puffiness of myself.  I am not the kind of easily get puffy but still can see the difference after the cleanse.  Therefore, after a few weeks, I repeated the cleanse and challenged a 3-day program.  The most challenging part of the 3-day program was not the hungry feeling.  Actually your stomach wouldn’t feel hungry with 8 bottles of juices.  However, as someone love to eat like me, it was my mind feeling hungry and I wanted to eat.  So, if you have a more determined character, you should find it easier to get through.  After the 3-day cleanse, I decided that I will get back to 1-day program but do it more frequently.  Think it will suit myself more.

How frequent one should do a juice cleanse?  If your have a relatively oily or heavily seasoned diet, you may need to take a 3-day program monthly.  If not, a 3-day program every 2 or 3 months will be fine.  Or if you just like me who prefer a shorter but more frequent program, a 1-day cleanse every bi-weekly seems great.

Sharing my 1-day program juice choice for your reference:

Drink 1 – The Black Lemonade (alkaline water, lemon, activated coconut charcoal, cayenne pepper)

Drink 2 – Smooth Vitality (banana, blueberry, chia seeds, coconut water, mesclun, mint, raspberry, strawbery)

Drink 3 – Earth 1 (beetroot, carrot, celery, cucumber, kale, lettuce, parsley, spinach)

Drink 4 – Green 3 (apple, celery, cucumber, ginger, kale, lemon, lettuce, parsley, spinach)

Drink 5 – Earth 4 (apple, carrot, ginger)

Drink 6 – Zing 3 (pineapple ginger mint pear)

Drink 7 – Chocolate Almond Mylk (almonds, cacao, dates, filtered water, sea salt)

Drink 8 – Slippery elm (alkaline water, licorice root, marshmallow root, chia seeds, slippery elm bark powder, cinnamon)

One little tips for having this juice cleanse program is not to eat too much right after your cleanse.  As your stomach just regulated to soft and little food, don’t give him too much pressure.

Cheers! ❤
